Howdy Campers!
Barking Cat Studio’s Art in the City Summer Camp is Art and Adventure for kids ages 5-8 and 9-12.
Join us for 8 super-fun, creative weeks as we travel by NYC subway and bus to museums and other fun places around NYC that to inspire our studio art projects.
Cool creative counselors lead our small camp group on a week packed with fun– great trips, fun activities and engaging art projects.

Small camp group–just eight art campers per week.

Week 1: July 8 – July 12 (Age 5-8) Mixed Media, Drawing & Painting – sorry, week is full

Week 3: July 22 – July 26 (Age 5-8) Clay & Sculpture – sorry, week is full
Week 4: July 29 – August 2 (Age 9-12) Clay & Sculpture – sorry, week is full
Week 5: August 5 – August 9 (Age 7+) Harry Potter Wizard Week – sorry, week is full
Week 6: August 12 – August 16 (Age 9-12) Story Makers: Comic Book & Character Design – sorry, week is full
Week 7: August 19 – August 23 (Age 5-8) Lights! Camera! Action! Exploring Digital Photo & Video – sorry, week is full
Week 8: August 26 – August 30 (Age 5+)

Typical Camp Day
8am-8:45am Early drop-off
8:45am-9:15 Arrival & daily drawing challenge
9:30am-12:00pm Morning Adventure and outing to museums & other fun places around our city
12:00pm-12:30pm Travel back to studio/park for lunch
12:30pm-1pm Lunch
1:00pm-2:45pm Studio Art Project
2:45pm-3:00pm Choice Time & Dismissal
3:00-5pm Extended Day- Playground Time & Afternoon Art Classes
Camp Details
Camp Hours: 9:00am - 3:00pm, Monday–Friday. Extended day available until 5:00pm, Monday–Thursday.
Lunches outdoors, weather permitting.
Includes snack
Camp Fees: $35 non-refundable registration fee + Weekly camp fee $635 except weeks 7, camp fee is $675 and includes digital video camera.
Early Drop Off 8:00am - 8:45am $25 per day.
Extended Day to 5pm: $250/4 days (Monday-Thursday) with advance registration or $65 per single day.
No extended day on Friday.
